Atish Mozumder, one fine morning, set out to find the grave of the only female ruler of Delhi, Sultana Razia in the lanes of Old Delhi and uploaded its photograph on the Facebook page and wrote a few lines about it. It was appreciated by his friends and he was urged by them to continue to write more interesting historical stories of Delhi. Since then he visited the nook and the corner of the city looking for interesting and not so often visited buildings and places, looking at them from the angle of a non- historian and an amateur explorer. The present book is a compilation of these face book posts. If anyone is looking for concise stories of Delhi’s history then this book should be his first choice. The book can also be useful as a travel guide of Delhi for visitors who wish to know about the lesser known monuments of Delhi which are otherwise beautiful or rich in their history. The reader will also find many so far unknown findings about popular historical places of Delhi like the Red Fort, Humayun’s tomb or the Qutub Complex. In his explorations, he often met with street children in appalling conditions. He wishes to spend the money collected by selling the book to buy them small gifts to bring some smile on their faces.
